Rewriting the Code
Rebranding a non-profit that is disrupting the gender and racial inequality in tech.
Rewriting the Code is a nonprofit organization changing the face of technology. When they approached us, they needed a strategy and branding system aligned with their tenacity, empowering them to stand in their fortitude. We stepped away from literal code references of their previous brand and focused on the bigger picture: disrupting the status quo. The wordmark shows a literal rewriting of "code" through the rotation of the "O" – a simple yet bold statement demonstrating how Rewriting the Code is making an impact. To align with the global reach of their community and inclusivity, we built out an extensive color palette with supporting shapes to make it dynamic. This comprehensive system is versatile and lends itself well to capturing the diversity and depth of the brand while also creating the foundation for its various sub-brands.
