Designing a logo & website
for an event planning and design company

We joined the Lion House party in the early stages of business to help design and grow their extraordinary brand and website. Founded by Lauren Watson, the Lion House is an event planning and design company located in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a natural-born hustler, Lauren exudes affection and hospitality and there was no question that the brand we created would have to match the passion in her soul — after all, she is a Leo. Prior to launching the Lion House, Lauren worked as an underwater robotic engineer in San Diego before settling back east in the Carolinas. Equally part tech-nerd and creative, our challenge was to combine the relaxed, cool vibes she picked up living out west, with her warm, southern roots of home.

Branding | Creative Brief

With a solid eye for design, we collaborated with Lauren each step of the way to make sure her vision was unfolding. After a brand discovery process — and multiple coffee dates — to get everyone’s ideas flowing, we honed in on the visual elements that capture Lauren’s heart by piecing together a mood board that aligned not only with her style but spoke to her ideal client.

Branding | Final Logo Design

If we could sum up the Lion House brand, it would be classic-chic. In the end, the logo we developed is a clean and minimalistic so it can stand the test of trends and compliment the creative spirit of both Lauren and the Lion House as a whole. To leverage the conservative logo, we rounded out the brand by adding a handwritten font to the website to support the casual, yet sophisticated nature of the Lion House. Paired with high-quality photography and a mix of blush and natural colors, the Lion House brand captures the incomparable qualities that set it apart from the pack.
